Mar 10th & 11th -- The 2017 Limestone County Home and Garden Show is  March 10-11, 2017. Friday from 5pm-8pm and Saturday from 8am-4pm.  Admission is $2.00 for one day and $3.00 for two days at the Limestone County Event Center 114 West Pryor Street in Athens. For more  information: 256-232-2600

Mar 10th -- Meet Jewelry Designer Ronaldo at Trinity's (204 West Market Street in Athens) from 11:00AM to 6:00PM. Enjoy hundreds of designs, store discounts, cupcakes and hourly giveaways.

Mar 11th -- Join Redstone Harley-Davidson  for the Iron Elite Bike Show Competition hosted by Rare Breed! Trophies are given for best cruiser and best sound! Live music by Rhyme and Reason, food, cold beverages from Yellowhammer Brewing and enter to win a TV.

Mar 11th -- Children's Paint A Pet Night.  Join The Broken Brush at the studio and let your child paint their pet. This is 2-hour class and they will leave with a portrait of their furry friend. All you need to do is send The Broken Brush a picture of your pet to for pre-sketch. $45.00 per painter Only 15 seats available. To reserve your spot click here

Mar 11th -- Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail on Wheeler Lake starting at 6:30AM until 3:00PM launching from Ingall's Harbor. All anglers must be in weigh-in line by 4 p.m. Must be a member of the King Kat Association to fish this event. A one-year membership is $30. To pre-register, or 502-384-5924.  Fuel, supplies, and food are available at the Lucy's Branch Marina Mile Marker 287 on the Tennessee River.

Mar 12th -- Join The Broken Brush (107 South Marion Street in Athens) for $25.00 per person (all ages) to express their artistic desires as you paint a 16x20 canvas of a neon dragonfly! To reserve your spot click here

Mar 12th -- 2-S Spring Series 2017 Join 2-S Arena for their Spring Series 2017 Barrel Racing Series at the 2-S Arena 26155 Thach Road in Athens, Alabama starting with Exhibition Barrels at 12:00PM to 2:30PM with the show starting at 3:00PM. Mar 16th -- Turn an old book into a work of art... by creating a cross or the word "read" during this project at the Ardmore Community Library(25836 Main Street in Ardmore) from 10:00AM-12:00PM.

Mar 16th -- 18th -- Victorian Treasure Hunt at Drucilla's (300 North Marion) Meander through our Victorian house and find
your treasures. Drucilla's will have their vintage teapots, tea sets, dishes, glassware, Victorian parlor sets, pump organ, tables, chairs, table linens and much more for sale. Hours will be 10-4 on Thursday and Friday and 9-2 on Saturday.

March 1th - Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives is hosting a luncheon for the Female Vietnam Veterans in honor of their service to our country. Speaker Paulette Risher, Major General, U.S. Army Reserves. Please join us as we honor our female Veterans. We would also like to say "Welcome Home" to our Vietnam Veterans! Mar 17th -- Invisible Machine Applique Class at 3 Hens & A Chick Quilt Shop (1114 US-31 in Athens) Create the illusion of hours of hand work using the sewing machine. March 18th -- Rocket City Ten Miler in Mooresville, AL. Join the Huntsville Track Club for this 10 Mile HTC Grand Prix event through scenic Mooresville - Alabama's oldest town.  Race starts at 8:00AM. Mar 25th -- Join Mooresville Mercantile in welcoming Spring by enjoy the crafters, artists, small businesses and community organizations that join them under the trees from 9:30AM to 2:00PM at 5081 Mooresville Road in Mooresville, AL.  The Spring Gathering is being held in conjunction with the Sheep Shearing Day at 1818 Farms.
Mar 26th -- Terrarium Workshop with 1818 Farms in Mooresville. During the workshop participants will learn the history
of terrariums, planting steps and basic care. You will also learn which plants to use in open versus closed containers. Once construction is complete participants will select a miniature farm-or fairy- inspired figurine to add your personal touch. Class is from 1:00pm - 3:00pm and cost $80.00 per person REGISTER HERE

​Mar 31st -- Join the City of Athens Relay for Life team and the Limestone County Cattleman Association for a Ribeye Steak Sandwich Fundraiser at Friendship Church, 16479 Lucas Ferry Road in Athens from 11:00AM-1:00PM.  Cost is $10.00 for eat in or carry out. Call 256-233-8730.
