NEWS & EVENTS

FOR

MARCH 2010

Chili Challenge & Silent Auction 2010 was a BIG HOT SUCCESS!

Our Community is so

FOR HOSPICE OF LIMESTONE COUNTY

This past Saturday marked the 22nd year of our annual Chili Challenge and Silent Auction. Preliminary results from Saturday’s event shows promise of another exceptional turnout!

Thankfully, once again; our community showed up in full support. We are so lucky that our community is so “hot” for HOLC!

We wish to thank our 100+ volunteers for their time and efforts and the many donors who gave so freely to our silent auction. Many thanks to our Chairperson Wanda Johnson, silent auction chairpersons and volunteers, entertainers, Boy Scout Troop #240, chili challengers, chili judges, sponsors, contributors, bakers for the country store, electricians, the wonderful decorators, sound system warriors, the gals and guys who prepared all the wonderful food, Pepsi bottling company-Ronnie Dukes, Piggly Wiggly, Little Debbie’s-Jim McEwen, Blue Bell Creameries, many local area restaurants, the many  cashiers, HOLC board members, AHS Coach Creasy, AHS football team, AHS Beta Club & Pi Beta Sigma, AHS Art Department & Katie Ruf, the robotics team from the Tech school for doing the children’s activities, all the set-up and clean up folks and anyone else involved and not mentioned, we THANK YOU!

WOW WHAT A GREAT JOB!! It just would not be possible to pull off such a huge event without so much wonderful help.

SILENT AUCTION ITEMS ARE READY FOR PICK-UP @ THE HOSPICE OF LIMESTONE COUNTY OFFICE!

We’ve had volunteers here working very hard to get all of the Silent Auction items organized and ready for pick-up. You can expect a call from one of our volunteers at anytime. Come by our office as soon as you can to pick up your item! We look forward to seeing you again!
