Valor Flight
for the Veterans of the Korean War

Athens and Limestone county was well represented on Saturday for the Valor Flight of Korean War Veterans. Here a few of our local Veterans who were to attend: Donald Blackburn, Fred Clem, J. T. Collins, David Crooks, Billy Duncan, Josh Goff, Glenn Lowery, Roy McIntyre, Bobby Mefford, Henry Miller, Walt Miller, Jim Patteson, Raymond Phelps, Wendell Powers, Bill Richardson,  Raymond Slaten, James Sulcer, Huston Taylor, Walter Walker and Hoyt Williamson.

Valor Flights honor the Korean Veteran it was modeled after the Honor Flights that honored WW II Veterans. This is a one day trip to Washington at no expense to the Veteran and all Volunteers, Guardians and staff work free.

Thank you, to all our Veterans of both past and current wars.
